The mission of the Twinfield Union School community is to educate all students to become responsible, productive, critical-thinking, lifelong-learning citizens in a safe, nurturing environment of mutual respect, high standards, creativity, and academic excellence.
As a PK-12 school, Twinfield is able to build a strong sense of community with our students and families. Students are connected with their teachers throughout their school experience and are able to rely on those relationships for support year after year. Our middle and high school students act as role models and mentors for younger students, and families and staff develop long-term relationships as they work together to support students.
Twinfield focuses on building healthy relationships and teaching positive behaviors to all students. We know that when students feel valued and connected, they are more engaged in learning and more likely to succeed both academically and socially.
Uniquely situated on multiple acres of woodlands, fields and streams, Twinfield takes full advantage of its opportunity to extend learning beyond the classroom. Through outdoor programs, P.E., science experiments, art projects, and recess, our students expand their awareness of our local environment and build physical and social skills.
The mission of the Twinfield Together Mentoring Program is to provide all interested youth in our community an opportunity for a one-on-one friendship with a responsible, attentive and nurturing role model through a mentoring relationship.
Students learn in different ways and at different paces. Teachers use a variety of strategies—like flexible grouping, choice in assignments, and targeted support—to ensure every student is challenged and supported. This personalized learning helps students become more engaged, motivated, and confident in their abilities.
Renaissance is Twinfield’s standards-based personalized learning program. It provides opportunities for students in grades 9–12 to design in-depth studies aligned with their personal interests and learning styles. Students work with experts from our local community to guide their learning.
