Gavin Fowler and Kiara Haskins were this year's recipients of the New England League of Middle Schools leadership award. The students were honored with at a banquet at Norwich University on June 7th.
Twinfield Union School is a Pre K to 12 school which serves the unique rural communities of Marshfield and Plainfield.
Students from all grade levels regularly use the school's 80 acres and the school's outdoor classroom to enhance student learning.
The Everybody Wins Program is one way community members make a difference in the lives of our students.
Community service is embedded in the spirit of the Twinfield Union School. Students consistently work to give back to their local, state and world communities.
Musical performances, art shows, drama productions and other venues for students to share their talents is part of the fabric of our learning community.
This year our 8th grade class cooked monthly meals for the Good Samaritan Haven, Central Vermont's only homeless shelter. We look forward to continuing this project with next year's 8th grade class. On May 12th, five Twinfield high school students attended the Vermont Young Playwrights' Festival at the Flynn Theater in Burlington. This was the culmination of a playwrighting residency sponsored by an Artists in Schools grant from the Vermont Arts Council. On Tuesday, November 22, all elementary classes together met their classroom token goals 30 times. To celebrate all of the positive behavior demonstrated throughout the elementary school, students chose between several activities including a dance party, scavenger hunt, building challenges, and crafts.
