The most comprehensive college information site. College Board Online includes College Board Tests, programs, and online registration, a "Test Question of the Day," a searchable database of colleges, financial aid information (including a financial aid calculator), career planning information, a fee-based essay evaluation service, online shopping, and more.

Peterson's Education Center
Peterson's includes information about educational programs at all levels and provides searchable databases of colleges and academic programs.

CollegeView
CollegeView is a free online college search service with profiles of 3,700+ colleges and universities, virtual tours of selected schools, electronic applications, financial aid information, and career planning tools.

Princeton Review Online
This extensive college and career information site includes timed tests, essay hints, an internship database, job hunting hints, career lists by salary and industry, career profiles, and more.

Critical Comparisons of American Colleges and Universities
Provided by Memex Press, this site lets you compare selected colleges based on statistical data such as revenues from tuition, majors, scholarships, services, endowment funding, campus crime, student body characteristics (ethnic, gender), library funding and more.

Community Colleges
Courtesy of University of Texas at Austin, this site includes links to state listings off more than 800 two-year, post-secondary institutions offering certificate programs and associate degrees.

CollegeNET
CollegeNET provides separate databases for four-year colleges and also for community, technical, and junior colleges and takes you to the actual Web sites of the colleges. The four-year college database is searchable by geography, tuition, enrollment, and potential college major.

This page (sponsored by the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators) provides links to many sources of information about student financial aid. It also includes a Scholarship Scam Alert with important information about scams and how to avoid them.

CASHE (College Aid Sources for Higher Education)
Sponsored by the SallieMae, this online scholarship service is one of the most comprehensive sources of financial aid resources for college. CASHE provides a searchable database including information about scholarships, fellowships, grants, work study, loan programs, tuition waivers, internships, competitions, and cooperative work programs.
