The Visual Thesaurus creates an animated display of words and meanings — a visual representation of the English language. The Thinkmap visualization places your word in the center of the display, connected to related words and meanings. You can then click on these words or meanings to explore further.

Our new site license for Visual Thesaurus is for all members of our learning community in grades 3-12.

Alta Vista
One of the more powerful search engines on the Web. Alta Vista provides Boolean, phrase, and 'field' searching. It indexes both Web pages and newsgroups.
Dogpile
Dogpile is a meta-search engine that searches the Internet's top search engines such as About, Ask Jeeves, FAST, FindWhat, Google, LookSmart, Overture and many more. With one single, powerful search engine, you get more relevant and comprehensive results. When you use Dogpile, you are actually searching many search engines simultaneously.
Google
