Math 207 and 208: Algebra 2 (two semesters)
This course is recommended for students who may be interested in advanced courses in the sciences,
mathematics, or engineering. It is a continuation of elementary algebra. Topics covered include linear
equations and inequalities, matrices, quadratic functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, rational
equations and functions, conic sections, sequences and series, and probability and statistics. Use of the
scientific calculator will be covered in this course.

Prerequisite: Successful completion (minimum average of 85) of Algebra 1 or Concepts in Algebra 1 with teacher recommendation.
Credit: .5 each semester
