"Saturday Night Street Scene" (1936) by Archibald J. Motley, Jr

The Process:

Over the next six weeks we will be studying the literature, art, and music of the Harlem Renaissance. Each group will be spending two weeks examining a topic. After two weeks each group will rotate to the next topic. Within your groups you can focus your own study based on the artists that you find interesting. The links on the left are available as a quick reference to influentail particpants in the Harlem Renaissance. In an effort to broaden our study, I would like each group member to choose a different person to examine. Below you will find a descripton of each activity that you will be responsible for. If you click on the links you will find a more information on each topic.
