Tribute to Greta Sayers

We are losing veteran bus driver Greta Sayers to retirement. It is sad to see her go. Greta has driven for Twinfield for 30 years! She started driving a car and then moved to driving a bus. Before we had our own special education program, Greta went house to house taking students to Barre Town, Ayers Street and Spaulding. She drove fall, winter, spring and summer over our many back roads and always made it through. She has done this alone without assistance until our move to Northwood Campus at Goddard and then she briefly had an aid. This was done without the benefit of radios until the past few years after the elementary school joined the middle and high schools. Greta’s runs include the kindergarten run, morning and afternoon runs as well as transporting students to their appointments.

On behalf of Twinfield, I thank you Greta for all you have given to Twinfield, our students, our children and our staff. Greta will be missed -- we wish her all the best in her retirement.
