Twinfield Seal of Bilteracy

We have 10 students in the midst of World Language testing in Japanese, French, and Spanish. These students are hoping to reach the level of Intermediate-Mid in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. This is a level that indicates the ability to use the language in many different settings in a way that native speakers will understand without having to guess (think a 7-year-old versus a 3-year-old in terms of language skill). If they reach this level in all 4 areas, they will earn the
Vermont Seal of Biliteracy when they graduate and be able to take the results of the test to their universities for placement in most cases.

Juniors and Seniors in World Language classes are encouraged to take the test. Juniors take it as practice, with hopes of earning the Seal of Biliteracy; Seniors have already taken it once and are hoping to improve their assessed levels and earn the Seal of Biliteracy.
