Another Green Up Day in the Books!

Posted Date: 04/30/26 (09:17 AM)

After a last-minute pivot to a Wednesday Green Up due to the forecast, the day turned out to be a tremendous success. More than 60 students and 15 adult volunteers came together, spending four hours cleaning up roadsides and helping to beautify the community.

In total, the group collected over 110 bags of trash, 17 tires, and several large, irregular items that had been discarded along the way. The effort made a visible impact and highlighted the power of teamwork and community involvement.
Organized by the Twinfield National Honor Society for more than a decade, this annual event continues to provide students with a meaningful opportunity to give back and connect with their community.

A huge thank you to the Vermont Rural Education Collaborative for awarding us a $300 grant, which helped cover the cost of important safety supplies such as caution tape, gloves, and hand sanitizer, as well as treats for all participants at the end of the day.

A sincere thank you also goes out to the community for its ongoing support of the school and this important initiative.
